I’ve been raising a thirst, workin’ all week, a rabbid rabbit chewing off the soles of my feet in the kitchen I stand the devil at my seat Gotta get loose, gotta shake off the reek, day 6 in a row, the tide is low fade in and out
I’m at the Palace its home with man’s best friend, I send a message, feeling messy, and I’m ready to bend, I shimmy along, from Memo to POME If ya ready to roll, just find ya own way home, We won’t go far, swing by Cherry Bar, oh yeah gimme one…
I hit repeat and turn out the lights, Losing my way, from the north to the bay A band full of blues wont hold off the light Ill pick up the tab then I’ll whisper (kiss you) goodnight
Im with Jon Von Goes drinking Rumplestilskins swing by ShanO’s for no damn reason Freddies then Jazz Lab for tunes and a beer, Where to next? just gimme ya ear Live another reason not once I gotta plan ahead, Ya needin’ leanin’, and my boots are full of L-lead, I’ll self-sabotage tomorrows existence, Won’t take much to shake my resistance...

Sometimes I get so tired of all the things that I am The dark times, in a bottle o wine, and working on the man The answer lies among many fragments of broken sleep, out my bedroom window and just beyond my reach in dreams I see what falling means and
fly out across the ocean And cry teardrops on the sea
Brainwashed, the great unwashed, eye the revolution The ground comes rushing up to break a million half filled cups Just clouded resolutions An answer lies among where the hearts of people meet out the bedroom windows and just beyond their reach In dreams they see what falling means and
fly out across the ocean And cry teardrops on the sea

Eyes in twos, threes and fours eyes down, don’t look take my word don’t answer me look real close don’t, you might see What heaven wants heaven gets What heaven wants heaven gets What heaven wants heaven gets What heaven wants heaven gets sip the tea tow the line taste this bread feel it in this town we do reward in this town you’ve now been warned Shake like you’ve seen a lion a shake down in parts your mind

There’s a place I like to ride memories crash like a flash in a wink of the eye its the first place I go to taste tears As I or doff my hat to you my puppeteer Oh I ride, I ride over you Tell me your wicked secret and don’t hide cause high as a kite I pull the string you bring to me I won't bite Oh I ride, I ride over you

This City 03:55
Time has aged the scars on you A rhyme strings your heart on through To the gold that you’ve been coveting In how many days can you change your ways and take the hate out of the wait A storm cloud sucked into your lungs A poisoned sip a tired tongue Did the city age me This city it changed me Its a beautiful waste to not grow old a kiss and promise he left the trail long ago Your sin will be the wadger the chip to get you through the door with those deep torn empty pockets let the fire burn through the floor I neglected the broken skin That deep torn pocket I keep you in If you’re truly honest you’ll burn quickly it peels the skin away from your bones You don’t want to die unknown So you try to be profound for me A shallow cup a sapling tree take that tune away from me This city it changed me

Your sailing on a boat Your watch stopped working at ten past nine the captain in his coat not a bad bloke I guess that's right then you dilly down from the crows nest focus thoughts are on the night they wrap their arms around you and start to squeeze you tight Time won’t crumble while you dream but time may bring you to your knees so try to hold it tenderly while you fly beholden to your dreams That caption and his dime have you working overtime you splash that cash in tow for tequila with some lime then feel the ocean start to swirl you’re a piggy in a sty still try and hold it so thoughtful but genteelly you die Time won’t crumble while you dream but time may bring you to your knees so try to hold it tenderly while you fly beholden to your dream

I believe Ive a lot to offer Don’t let them make you feel, like you got nothing good to say to some it might not mean much more than copper but I know at least Im facing the right way Loudly I hear that noise, the voice of a stranger through a wall of sound only the bad is heard by you still the bright lights oh they feel so pretty on your face but then the dark moon smiles at you CH did you seized the day or did you lose your crown cause you felt the stage would come crumbling down now those bright lights make you feel sick if you whisper a thought here in the city just let that wish make you feel pretty time makes you older in their eyes, only As she sat on the seat a cowboy a stranger Knowing if she stood up that bully would rally to She felt the quicksand try to pull her feet under but she dug down deep and plucked up the courage too

Burning clothing fear and loathing pour that concrete over my heart haste has bound me tied me to this chair wrap on that willow with warning cause I knocked when there was nobody there I got six damn dollars and a hole in my pocket, you know that story well a click and a sneeze, they got ya on ya knees say a prayer and go to straight to hell Come dance with me and we can see, who can paint this story right the wrongs that you and I aint forgotten, wont help you sleep at night macerated co created the tides are rising & darker gets the night How cold could you be so cold son put down that mirror and wish back the things that you’ve done I got six damn dollars and a hole in my pocket, you know that story well a click and a sneeze, they got ya on ya knees say a prayer and go to straight to hell Come dance with me and we can see, who can paint this story right the wrongs that you and I aint forgotten, wont help you sleep at night

I'm just gonna grit my teeth and bear it, Hoping, preying heart don't fail me now Cause I'm in so deep, and I'm breaking nails, clawing my way out
I'm a puppet made of strings and sinew, Heart and soul just searching for a song Questioning myself, ‘do the demons inside me still belong?'
Hold fire - hold fast Batten down the hatches and see who's laughing now
Everything that glitters ain’t gold Somewhere out there Midas he grew old And there's no doubt, but the little that I have left feels like too much Hold fire - hold fast Batten down the hatches and see who's laughing now Oooooh shout, lest the flickers all go out
I'm just gonna grit my teeth and bear it cause remember that surrender has a price better the devil that you know than the cost of just a half lived life

We used to play the whole day long Run through the sprinklers on the lawn We've played chasey, we've played catch, Hide and seek and hacky sack But now I'll pack up my ball and go home. The streets were ours to roam at night Tear down the hill on our push bikes But now you don't seem here to me Like you've got somewhere else to be So I'll just pack up my ball and go home. I know it's not about who won It's just a game, it's all good fun But now it's started getting dark And we've spent too long in this park I'm gonna pack up my ball and go home.
